Martin specialises in the preparation of Wills and Inheritance Tax Planning from the most straightforward cases through to people with multi-million pound estates. He has a particular interest in advising on farming issues and agricultural property relief.
He has a great deal of experience in the administration of estates. He understands that bereaved beneficiaries want their loved ones affairs to be dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible. At the same he offers high quality professional advice that aims to minimise the estate's liability to Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax.
Martin also advises on all areas affecting the Elderly such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, funding of care fees and Court of Protection work.
He Qualified as Solicitor in 2000 with Taylor Walton Solicitors in Bedfordshire. Martin joined the Crediton office in 2005 from Clarke Willmott solicitors. He is also a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) the professional body that represents those advising on estate and tax matters.
In his spare time he can be found playing 5-a-side football, golf or walking in the local countryside.
