Craig was born in Carlisle, Cumbria; but moved to London where he was educated at St Paul's School, and then subsequently qualified as a Solicitor, obtaining his degree from Kingston University. He moved down to the Westcountry in 1997, obtaining a Masters in Business Administration degree from Exeter University, before returning to the legal profession to specialise in personal injury and clinical negligence work.
In 2008, seeking a new challenge, he joined Symes Robinson and Lee Solicitors in the Civil Litigation department based in our Exeter office.
Craig acts for businesses and private individuals. He covers all areas of general civil and commercial litigation, including contractual and property disputes, and consumer law.
He has a particular interest, however, in employment law, and landlord and tenancy work.
Craig acts primarily for Devon based businesses and Landlords. He has experience in a broad range of Employment Law areas and acts for both employees and employers in bringing and defending Employment Tribunal claims, such as unfair dismissal and discrimination.
He has experience of chairing disciplinary hearings, negotiating severance packages, working with unions, drafting contracts and advising on general employee rights.
